  • VRMESH in NEXT

Having gone through several parts of Lesson 2 Tutorial for VRAY for RHINO, it’s clear that the method of applying materials to VRMESHes has changed (in NEXT). I see that you Geometry now holds the bitsmaps and colors for each component of the VRMESH, but I don’t understand how all of the adjustments interact.

Somebody please point me in the correct direction. In particular, once you’ve set the materials for a VRMESH in the Geometry Tab (and all of its components), how could you go back and adjust them using advanced controls?

    Thanks,

    Thomas

    Hi scrappydog1958,

There are actually two ways to mange Proxy Mesh materials in V-Ray for Rhino.
The first is by keeping the Materials toggle in the Proxy Mesh properties enabled and using the built in slots.
As an alternative you can disable the Materials toggle and apply the old Multi Material to the Proxy Mesh (select in the viewport and Apply to Selection).

In particular, once you’ve set the materials for a VRMESH in the Geometry Tab (and all of its components), how could you go back and adjust them using advanced controls?
Can you please share some more information on what you're after here?
What do you mean by adjust them using advanced controls?

    Konstantin
