Gijs, any idea how to convert max files to rhino without to buy the expensive 3dsmax? :-\

I don't think there is really a way to convert max files properly back to Rhino. you will need to export them as 3ds/dwg/dxf/obj/ and this can give trouble, especially if the model contains scaled and/or mirrored instanced objects. What could be though, when Vray for Rhino is going to support proxy objects that it can be done by exporting a proxy from 3dsmax and import the proxy in Rhino.
If it is just for one project, you could also download a demo version, which works for 30 days fully functional.
