I'm making a Corian countertop material (granite). I have a flat surface for the countertop and an extrustion along the edge for the bullnose. How do I use my granite texture to make a material that I can apply to this polysurface? The UV of the subsurfaces is different, so when I render, it is stretching the texture to fit the surfaces, which are different. The result is that the two different surfaces look different.
Is there a way to scale the texture bitmap per model units?

Select your polysurface and go to the object properties page. Move the combobox to "Mapping". Now add a channel. Mess around with the mapping until it looks the way you want it to look. You can have the UVs stretch to fit the object ,or have it tile multiple times over.

By applying the map channel to the whole polysurface I believe the UVs for the subsurfaces should all be the same. Let me know if this isn't the case for you. Or send me a test file with the object your attempting to map and the texture you want to use
