How to apply a bump

I've been going around and around on this and can't figure out how to apply a simple bump texture.

Can any one help?

Its the same process as you would use when applying an image to your Diffuse Layer. Instead, Bump is controlled in the "Maps" layer.

Also only Bitmap textures can be used as bumps currently.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, nothing happened. I created my bump and saved it as a bmp. Under "Maps" I checked bump and assigned the appropriate map.

In the preview, I see the bump working. But it doesn't show up in my rendering.

Any ideas?

Do you have maps disabled under Global Settings rollout in our options?

If that isn't the cause could you email a test scene and the image thats causing the problem to me? Thanks
