  • Multiple surface textures on the one object?

    G'day

I have been trying unsuccessfully to render a transparent solid object with different surface textures. I have tried exploding the surfaces and applying a different material to them but then it loses it's transparency quality (because it is not a 'solid' anymore). I also tried copying and offsetting surfaces but that just looks really bad.

Can it be done? Any suggestions and help would be much appreciated.... ;D

You can try setting up those textures as decals then applying them to their respective side. You'll have to take good care to not have them touch the edge though...I think I through something about this up here a little while ago, so I'll see if I can track it down...the only thing is that I don't know how this is going to work on a transparent/translucent object.
