  • Question about tched logo on clear glass

    HI all,

I tried to look up for that specific topic but all I could find was how to frost glass.
My attemp is to have a frosted logo that is applied on clear glass.
How do I go about in making this happen?

    Thanks all for your help
    Best regards,

If you have the logo, make a map of the logo (@ about 140,140,140) with a white background and map that to the reflection glossiness...map that as you would a normal decal (ie no tile...careful positioning of the mapping widget) and you should be good.

Re: Question about tched logo on clear glass

Interesting problem - the problem is, that the logo will be visible at all surfaces of the glass in texture projection direction or? The classical decal on glass problem. The classical problem can be solved by an offset surface or splitting the object. But splitting glass into independent surfaces can cause, that Vray will not render it as one glass object, that bad refraction effects are visible.
