    Re: Ideal Rendering Program Thoughts

Thanks Micha and Gijs!!! I made the changes you suggested and took the rendering time down from 17m 5.1s to 12m 56.5s! And image looks pretty much the same. Awesome, I appreciate the info, very good to know.

We finished building this booth last month and now they are wanting an animation for their website that is about a full minute long, so any decrease in rendertimes are extermely helpful here. The animation of course will be much smaller in size, but I can apply these settings to it nonetheless. Thanks again, cheers!

      Re: Ideal Rendering Program Thoughts

Animation is a bit of a different animal than stills. Basically its important to render out all of the prepass (light) information in a slightly different way that allows for the whole camera path to influence how those prepasses are calculated. Its actually not as complex as it sounds, but you should check out the animation tutorial if you haven't already (Support> Tutorials). Its specifically for using Rhino's built-in animation tools, but the concepts apply to bongo as well. HTH

        Thanks Dalomar,

I checked it out a while back and have done a couple basic animations rendering out the IR first as it suggests. You're right it's not as complex as it sounds when first reading/hearing about it.
