    -sigh- no, lost touch with them amidst all the hustle and bustle of this development cycle. I will begin pursuing this again once we figure out a few more things, and get a rhino version out the door. I'd rather have an updated VfR version out the door at this point, and then worry about adding more stuff. The SketchUp guys are telling us that we need to fix a few things. I really really really really really want autograss added to our product asap though.

      Do you think VfR will be in the future up-to-date of the possibilities of Vray and Rhino? For example Vray RT for Maya will be in beta state soon and Vray 2 is on the way. I have the impression VfR will stay far behind if the developing speed stay at this level. It seems to be VfR is planed as the basic tool only, some years behind the leading edges.
      I know this question are annoying, but if ASGvis would say" we are a small company only and VfR is what it is and don't expect to much" than user could better plan the future. A clear basic roadmap would be fine. At the moment the users try to estimate the roadmap only and it dosn't look like a highway, more like a country lane. Is it right? When can be expected a big step forward for VfR?

          Micha- we're working on the new version now. The latest core works in Rhino for the most part, just gotta get some more bugs ironed out and then we can start the beta process. The new core has all of the features we added to the latest version of SketchUp. We haven't done any announcements or updates about the latest version of VfR, because there's nothing that we're giving out to anyone to play with yet. You've been patient, but I ask that you wait just a bit longer. Once we have VfR and VfS both up and running with the new plugin core, we can start discussing new features and improvements.

              Autograss is only for 3DS unfortunately....
              How about VRay Proxy, is that coming to a V-Ray for Rhino near you soon?

                so far... I have the lead developer's business card sitting on my desk. Just need to get a build of VfR out there, and then we can start adding new features like this.

                How about VRay Proxy, is that coming to a V-Ray for Rhino near you soon?
                Not in this next version, we have to get the new rewritten plugin integrated with Rhino first, then we can start adding features like proxies, fur, autograss...
