Floating License for Telecommuting?

I work from a home office (current License holder) and my down-town office. I am looking to set up a floating license over VPN or similar at the office as I'm now doing more renderings here but still reuire it at my home office. I've read this can be done over VPN just curious if true and how to set up. Or other options

we only offer support for setting up a floating license to work across a LAN. As long as you are able to communicate with the server specified, you should have no problem checking out a license. I connect via vpn and use a floating license server that is at the office when I telecommute. A regular vpn connection should just make it so you can communicate with the computers at your office as if you are on the same local area network, so using a floating license server over vpn shouldn't be any different than using a floating license server on the local area network. If your vpn requires anything more than that, you'll have to have an IT guy figure out a solution.

For how to set up a floating license server? Like I said, we don't offer support on vpn stuff, just local area networks. So we can help you figure out how to get it running on your local network, but if you encounter any issues while using a vpn connection, that is beyond our realm of support.
