Do you mean during a rendering?
If you mean a finished rendering, you can reopen the frame buffer per visVFB command. My extra wish here: this command could be included in the Vray menu.

Thanks for the replies.
I keep forgetting about the "vis" command and that the image stays even if you press the "x" icon of the frame buffer.
The thing is also that sometimes I close the VFB without saving and then start a new render (thinking that I have saved the last one) ....
Also, as a side note: I kind of like the AIR frame buffer that shows multiple thumbnails of finished renders in th present session (the user has the option to manually delete them)
