  • Prevent accidental closing of VFB

Right now it closes without warning, which can be a problem if not careful.

Do you mean during a rendering?
If you mean a finished rendering, you can reopen the frame buffer per visVFB command. My extra wish here: this command could be included in the Vray menu.

When does it close without warning? If you go to exit Rhino and get queried whether or not you are sure you want to exit - the Rhino VFB is already destroyed. Thats the only case where I think the VFB should be closed.

Micha is right as well, we do have the visVFB command for showing the vfb.

        Micha, Joe,

        Thanks for the replies.
I keep forgetting about the "vis" command and that the image stays even if you press the "x" icon of the frame buffer.

The thing is also that sometimes I close the VFB without saving and then start a new render (thinking that I have saved the last one) ....

Also, as a side note: I kind of like the AIR frame buffer that shows multiple thumbnails of finished renders in th present session (the user has the option to manually delete them)
