I'd like to see an options for a near and far clipping plane. The rendering would only render between the two clipping planes, but this would allow a lot of control of what is seen and rendered. For example, it'd be possible to render a section of an object by placing the near clipping plane half way through an object. There are plenty of other render engines that have this capability and I think it's a simple way to increase the productivity and would certainly be helpful.
