Hello,
We've received a couple of reports already, meaning you are not experiencing an isolated issue.

Could you please double-check if your network-monitoring tools (firewall, anti-virus software, etc) are not blocking V-Ray's UI:
C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\V-Ray for SketchUp\extension\vrayneui-win32-x64\vrayneui.exe

Additionally, please state whether the new Light Gen tool operates as expected and is able to donwload its HDR assets (https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...-Ray+Light+Gen)

Last but not least, providing log files may help in finding out what is blocking the asset retrieval. The files needed are:
VRayForSketchUp.log located at %AppData%\Roaming\Chaos Group\V-Ray for SketchUp
vray-neui.log located at %AppData%\Roaming\Chaos Group\V-Ray for SketchUp\vrayneui

Just in case, please do a clean reinstall of V-Ray 5 for SketchUp and make sure you don't use admin privilege when running the installer.

cognedur I encountered this issue and solved it by disabling my antivirus protected folder security (BitDefender), just as Peter.Chaushev mentioned.
The option to download the assets will not be available if there are write permission issues.

Thanks for the advice… sadly Nothing is working for me right now:
i authorized all i could find about vray on my firewall:
Lightgen does not want to communicate with the server.
here is the log file i found

Please help me i have to give classes i i can't talk about materials…
