  • Can't see the light in the mirror

Hi guys, I have a problem with vray, latest version and sketchup 2021, practically as shown in the image I don't see the light reflected in the mirror, although the reflection in the light is enabled. As a computer I have an iMac Pro (2017).

    Hi luca_militello,

Try bumping the light's Affect Reflections parameter (let's say, place a value of 100) and you should be able to see the light reflected in the mirror. See attached gif for better visual understanding.

      Hi luca_militello ,

This actually has to do with the directionality parameter of the light and is 100% reproducible:

Setting the directionality to 0 will fix the issue.
I'll actually log this in our bug tracking system since there might be a way for us to fix it.

As a workaround I'd suggest you make your light invisible (still emitting light) and use a light material on a peace of geometry to simulate the light mesh emission.
You'll then have to control the material intensity independently (and manually).
