Re: Vray crashes on 50 meg file
Maby you can switch to render a Vray raw image. I use is for large scale renders 4000X3000. your preview window will act strange, but I think that is a bug. after your render is complete you can convert the image back to I beleve EXR. and adjust in photoshop.www.DWanimations.org | Makes your work come to life

Re: Vray crashes on 50 meg file
Any time you see an image that you can render smaller, but won't when its bigger, then its a memory issue. 9.9 times out of 10 rendering to vrimage will take care of it. Because SU models aren't the most efficient when it comes to dealing with high poly scenes, you'll probably run into that ceiling earlier than if you were doing it in another program.
The display when rendering to vrimage is not a bug. The goal of rendering to vrimage is to be able to render memory intensive scenes, not displaying them nicely. The way vrimage displays a render (no zooming, a few bucket artifacts) is because it saves memory to not have to think about those things. Also, turning LC and IR previews off will help save memory as well (less to display).Damien Alomar<br />Generally Cool Dude
