  • Strange "dots" on Render

    http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...eth82/Test.jpg

Hi there, I am playing with a couple basic scene's and am trying to get the right setting for floor lights, i think i have almost got it right but there are strange "dots" on the image, almost like reflections. I do not know what is causing them. I will try to post my system specs and Vray settings below

    PC - Dell Precision T5400
    CPU - Xeon E5420 2.5GHz
    Ram - 4gb
    OS - Vista Business 64-bit
Video card - Nvidia Quadro FX570
(all drivers as up to date as can be)

    Sketchup 6.4.112
    Vray - 01.00.34 (RC1 i believe)

Global Switches - Output 2.2, Correct RGB and LDR Textures are on
    Camera - Physical camera "on", Shutter 300, F-number 8, Film ISO 125
Environment - Skylight(204,229,255) and background (0.0.0) set to "SKY" on the "M"
Image Sampler - Adaptive DMC (default settings) no Antialiasing Filter
Indirect Illumination - Primary Engine (Irradiance Map) Secondary (Deterministic Monte-Carlo)
Everything else is default I believe

They're caustic reflections- if you don't need caustic reflections elsewhere in your render you can just switch them off .

They are caustics, but because they are probably from the sun you can't "just turn them off"...your best bet is to set the Caustic Subdivisions (you can access them through the Sky dialog in Environment) to 0 or 1. That will effectively "remove/disable" the caustics for the sun.
