Over the past couple of days Sketchup has been running very slow in opening and saving model files, and crahsing periodically. I thought it was just because the model I am working with is rather large (14mb), but after a few tests, I think it has to do with vray. I'm using Mac OSX 10.5.8, Sketchup 7.1.6859, and the vray trial 1.48.66.
I was not sure if it was vray or sketchup causing the problem, so I did a few checks. I used the same model file for all tests.
First, I went to my bootcamp Windows XP and installed a fresh sketchup and the vray trial - it worked fine. Model loaded and saved quickly, no lag, no crashing, great. Therefore, I thought maybe my OSX apps were at fault.
So I then went back to OSX and uninstalled both sketchup and vray in order to start fresh. I first reinstalled sketchup only and all was fine. I then installed a fresh vray trial, and upon opening sketchup, it reverted back to the lagging load and save times.
Any ideas to what the problem is?
