Render only specific Render Elements or Material IDs

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible now (Vray 5) to render out only specific render elements or IDs rather than the whole image.
This feature would help us save a lot of time.

Hi manishpaul_simon,

Rendering isolated render elements is not possible in V-Ray.
For some elements this is close to impossible.

For some, like the Mask elements it sounds reasonable but will still require the entire scene to be loaded and rendered.
In theory some effects could be disabled - diffuse lighting, GI, Reflections, Refractions - but there will still be cases in which it's not going to work perfectly.

I'll log it as a feature request but it might take a while before we look into it.
