The Cosmos assets are using the Multi-Sub material and they are working in Vision, so I guess regular multi-sub material should be working in Vision just fine.
If you are experiencing any issues please let me know.
Thanks . yes cosmos assets work. Just curious as why the multi-sub diffuse didn't show up in Vision. I'm just starting and will use VFB more anyhow, if it comes an issue in future I'll contact support
If you have a file where this is reproducible and if it's Ok with you, share it (or just the asset or the geometry where the maps are not visible) so I can check it out on my side.
Sorry for the delay!
This actually has been reported (VRT-609)
Actually, it is possible to use multiple textures, but the randomization feature is not implemented yet. I guess that makes the multi-sub partially supported in Vision
The multi-sub material does work in Vision.
The multi-sub texture on the other hand is not supported yet.
The randomization part (what you've done in your scene) is something we plan to add support for.
Distributing multiple textures however is not that trivial and I don't see it happening in Vision any time soon.
Thanks Konstantin - like I say I'm new to Vray and just wondered if it was something my side. But at least I'm aware and as I'll be using VFB it's no issue and I can simply swap textures if needed.
