Like many others I imagine, we fully intend to switch to RTX4090 on release. Will Vray 5 support this or will we be forced to use Vray 6 to use Lovelace cards?

V-Ray 5 will support the new GPUs out of box, it should work without issues and give you the expected performance. Make sure to use our recommended drivers in our GPU page
For extended support of the new architecture and optimal performance(in future) it is recommended to use V-Ray 6, performance optimizations on our side might be exclusive to V-Ray 6, this is not new. Not all changes could be ported to older versions of V-Ray for technical reasons.
