Is there a standalone app that allows you to open a VRIMG file and edit it the same way you would in the VFB? Essentially a standalone VRay Frame Buffer application?

I've been also pleading for a standalone vfb or at least incorporate it in chaos player. Would be a very nice tool. I hate to open another 3dsMax to edit some images while my workstation is rendering for instance.

Unzip the attached zip into the following folder and double-click "vfb.bat"
            C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\V-Ray for SketchUp\extension\vray\bin

It consumes RenderNode license, but you can use VFB.ā€‹

of course. Simply run VRayStandalone (vray.exe).

3dsMax 2021 and earlier versions are in the folder below
                Code:
                C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\3ds Max 20**\bin
3dsMax 2022 and later versions are in the folder below.
                Code:
                C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\VRay3dsMax20**\bin
Just search for vray.exe in your OS and copy it to that folder.

Waaw ok, that is an amazing little hack!!! Thank you so much. This should be official though, but as for now this should suffice, and lucikly I have a render node to spare so no problem there.

Agreed, this should just be something we can all access via the Chaos menu in Windows. THANKS!!!
