No there is not a way to render "sketchy" with vray. Isn't that the purpose of sketchup though. Here are a few examples.

There is the V-Ray toon shader thats available for vfmax, but its not that good, and not that "sketchy"

We've been looking into ways to add extra functionality to the V-Ray for Max toon shader to get the sketchier feel. But there is nothing in VfS to do this yet. Sorry
