  • interior lighting black marks

hey all, can someone please give me some advice with the below image? I followed the simple lighting tute by calderon on getting shadows in the final image that sketchup shows when you click show shadows. I seem to be getting black blotches, im using the default camera with engines set irradiance map (primary) and QMC (secondary).
I would really appreciate any feedback

Change the Adaptive Amount in the QMC sampler from 1 to .9 or .85. There's a peculiar thing with IR and and adaptive amount of 1 that will lead to artifacts like you're seeing there.

yea that ones a crazy one. Thats pretty high on the V-Ray geek list, and the nutty thing is that there really isn't any other way to get rid of it...before I found out that that was the issue I tried a number of things.
