Darker shadows

I have tried to make some darker shadows, but it won't work.

Can anyone please guide me ?

There's more of an explanation to this, so if you want it just let me know, but here's the short answer

In global switches at the bottom right corner is a little section called gamma correction. You will want to disable correct LDR and correct RGB and also change 2.2 to 1
