hi guys..... when i render and save i get 3 images.... the normal one, the alpha version and one called DIFFUSE... is darker then the oridinal and the colors are stronger... can anyone tell me what this one is for.... cause i know the alpaha one is for inserting backgrounds and stuff..... tanx

The diffuse channel is a representation of the diffuse component of a given material under "standard lighting". Typically this is used in compositing and isn't really much use unless combined with a number of other channels. I say "standard lighting" because the actual lighting that is used to calculate the diffuse channel may be different due to camera exposure, altered GI settings, or even caustics. Also, the diffuse channel may be altered based on the reflective/refractive parameters of a material, so it may not visually match what you "think" it should look like...

Also, if you want to just have one image when you save your render, go in to the render options in the VFB Channels section, and remove all the channels except for "Color". Of course if you want to have even more files saved out when you save a render, you can just add additional channels to the list too.Best regards,
