  • Using v-ray for 3ds materials in v-ray for sketchup

I am new to V-Ray. So if I have downloaded materials from www.vray-materials.de I have to convert the materials in 3ds max 9 to vismat. Is there no other way to convert them in matrial studio or in v-ray for SketchUp??

No there is not... Autodesk does not release the details to read the information in the file. Therefore, the only thing that can read the file is 3dsMax itself. Sorry, but this is just the way it is.

Here's a link that will give a few more details if you want them.

You will also need to install the trial of V-Ray for Max, which you can find at www.chaosgroup.com
