VfSU saves all the rendered channels while VfR saves only the active channel (for manual saves..."autosaves" always save all rendered channels). I'm not sure why they act differently, but I think that it should only save the active channel when saving manually. I'll put this on the list, but i'm not sure when this will get attention since this is pretty minor.
