[PLUGIN] "Remove C-G Materials" - Faster Render Times

I have one question before adding the plugin:
If this plugin copies the object and brings it outside the group or component, how will that affect materials with bump maps and displacement maps on them?
I was always told that in order for bump mapping and displacement to work, the objects have to be in groups or components.
I am currently using V-Ray 1.49.01.

It doesn't bring anything outside the group/component. It simply transfer the material applied to the group/component to the actual geometry (faces) inside it.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

Well, had it been easy, it would have been done already. They are working on improving the parsing speed for VfSU - but materials applied to groups/components might always be slow due to how Sketchup is built up. Making plugins means you can't do more than what the host application allows you. As you can see with Rhino - different a host application: doesn't have this issue.

Hey, the plugin is great, but I'm experiencing some problems with 2.5D trees. It doesn't render well when I utilise the plugin... I haven't seen any comment on it 'round here :~
Guess someone can help me lol
Edit: to be more specific, it has no transparency in the trees, and I can tell the various faces on them.
Running SU 7; 1.05.30; plugin 1.5

Not until you describe what these problems are. 'Problems' can be anything. Please be as descriptive as possible. Also, include what SU and V-Ray version you use.

Have you loaded a grayscale clipmap in the transparency slot for the tree material? (Not that that would have anything to do with the "Remove C-G Materials" script.)
If desciptions in English are a problem, don't forget: a picture speaks a thousand words.
BTW, what are "2.5D" trees? ??? Do you mean "2D" trees?

It's just the same as clicking "OK" or "Cancel" in a dialog, I think Matthieu added as an extra layer of security so people don't execute the script by accident. I wish it wasn't there though, it's unncessary IMO.
