    @thomthom and 40th

    thanks for the tips... because, while i'm doing my exterior practice, once i add the trees and landscape elements, my cpu usage went crazy... so next time i practice i will keep both your tips in mind! thanks a lot!!

        I've been experimenting with some 2.5D low poly trees to populate large birds-eye view scenes: http://forums.sketchucation.com/view...art=30#p165309

          Hi ThomThom, the tree in your first render looks great. Hoping you can advise me on something, I visited the xfrog site but I'm not sure which version of the software I require. I only use sketchup, so would I purchase "Xfrog 3.5 full", "Xfrog 3.5 Lite" or "xfrog tune"?

            Full is required to make animations. Since SU doesn't support object animation Lite is enough.
            While you can adjust the poly-count to a certain degree with XFrog Full/Lite, Xfrog Tune will give better control.

            Note that these trees makes SU extremely slow. I've not used them that much since I bought them. But with VfSU2 promising proxies, they will probably come to better use.

              Thanks for the advice ThomThom I think I may purchase it. Quality sketchup trees are hard to come by and I always seem to get the projects with tons of trees knocking around! Getting bored of the same 5 or 6 models in my projects ;D

                  Either one of the links in the original post will let you download. Note that if you follow the Sketchucation link you have to log in to download.
