  • Vray for SU Manual

I have recently bought Vray for SU. I am going through tutorial in manual using that famous chairs scene. I am finding impossible to get renders like in that manual. I have followed evrything to the last letter but my renders are overexposed. Can someone please point me in right direction as far as basic set up. The manual instructions seems in odds to outcome I get.
    Thanks

    Hey sepo100,
Check if under Camera menu you have Physical camera checked. If it's unchecked every light multiplier you have should be decreased.
Anyway additional to the Manual I advise you to learn with this:
    1) Vray's table of content's- V-Ray for 3d Max but the principle is almost the same.
    2) Micha's Tutorials- V-Ray for Rhino but the principle is the same.

Thanks 40th. In mean time I actually discovered that physical camera was not on.
Manual does not mentioned it at all and it is a bit difficult to follow. Luckily I remebered it from reading elsewhere.
Thanks for the links. Much appreciated.

        Re: Vray for SU Manual

You probably have the default light from sketchup still on. The manual assumes that this will no be on, so the settings it suggest will lead to brighter images with the extra light from the default light. Turn it off and see if that's any better.

at the end of the manual, there are several bunnies rendered with different materials. Where do I get those materials?

Those materials were only made available to the people who purchased the Manual...currently Cafer (the one who originally wrote it) is the only one who's offering it for sale, and its in Chinese....
