Hey,
This is really annoying me, cos it's been a while since i've had to use vray, and i can't remember how to do some of the simple stuff. I'm trying to do 4 outdoor renders, orthographic projection style like. they don't have to be unbelievably precise.
Here's where i am so far, and my problems. I have the detail turned down low, just to get a quick render out.

Ok, so the biggest problem right now, is that i need to get the shadows going. The sunlight like. I have them set up how i want them in SU (I've the 4 scenes set up, ready to go). In the VRay Settings, I have under Global, Lights, Default Lights, Shadows and Hidden Lights turned on. Environment has GI and Background on (see below for background problem). And i'm using LC and DMC. I don't think i've changed any of the default settings really.
The other main problem is that i've never really had any luck getting a background working. I've tried tutorials and manuals, but it always either comes out white, transparent (black) or a bluish-grey haze, which looks dirty. Doing it through photoshop with alpha's is messy and it gives mixed results.
So if anyone could help me with those two things, that'd be great (for a start! )
cheers,
N
ps, this needs to be done within the next week realistically, so i should be pretty quick at replying etc with renders where needed.
