Installing downloaded materials

I'm new to this so my questions might be a little mundane.

I have downloaded a few .vismat material files and a default_sketchup.visopt file and whan to know what directory should they be placed in and how are they installed.

The truth is you can put them in any directory you want. I try to keep things organised by creating a Vray materials directory with subfolders for different material categories.

When you download materials you have to re-link all bitmaps that material uses. Otherwise they will refer to non-existing location.

Is there a help file that can explain this procedure or is the info in the pdf manual?
