  • funny shadow from window

    Hi,

I am rendering a simple corridor image and using SU sun. But I get funny shadows/light shape coming from windows. I checked model and there are no artifacts in the window opening or window model.
I am using IRmap+LC. camera: shutter speed 30, f-number: 6, ISO:125, GI/Background: SKY, Image sampler: Adaptive subdivision, anti-aliasing: catmun cull, Color mapping: HSV exponential.

    please image

Can you post a bigger image or a close-up of the shadow?

Thanks for your quick reply Jackson. I used Flickr to upload image and the original image is in .png format and bigger. But when i uploaded the image to flickr, it adjusted size automatically.

In the image, please see sun light coming from the window. It shows odd shape. the window glass is rectangular but the shape of the sun light coming in the rendering is weird. In SU, in shadowed view, light shape is rectangular. but when i render it gives this funny shape.

      Thanks for your help.

      regards

Do you have glass on the windows?

Yes I have 12mm thick glass as component within window component. And the glass has a standard out of box ASGVIS glass material applied within component.

The Affect Shadows option on the refraction layer is enable?
