Can someone at Chaos confirm that in order to be using LWF in SU, these items need to be setup this way in Color Mapping. Seems to work correctly.

Yes, that is the physically correct way. In my case I prefer to use the "Linear workflow" option, instead of our old option (Correct LDR Texture and correct RGB color), but both should produce the same result.

Ah, I did not realize that the Linear Workflow button did this. Most tutorials for Max say to never use this button so I have stayed clear of it. Good to know. Thanks Fernando.

I am still confuse with this LWF that they are talking with Vraymax. I understand about the gamma with max affected therefore you need to correct them. Valero or fernando can you please explain further how it works with vraysu

I use LWF when I render interiors. I find that using this type of color mapping along with saving out to EXR and post processing allows for levels of adjustment not possible using other methods.

This is a good link to explain. http://www.davidfleet.com/tutorials/linear-workflow

i understand what has been explained in 3dsmax. what i want to know is with vray sketchup. before as i still remember the very first vray sketchup version you also have to change the texture gamma of materials when creating a vrayli. but then with next versions you dont have to do that. i have the assumption that vraysu automatically convert the material gamma when color mapping are defaulted with 2.2 in both gamma and input gamma. therefore you dont have to worry about this like in Vraymax.
