You want to check Save to VRIMG in Output but when you pick the file name choose EXR as the type. Also, I choose Preview option so you can see some kind of progress since the progress bar is missing for now. If you save channels then you MUST have ProEXR installed for Photoshop. Otherwise, you will not get the channels as layers in the file. This is well worth the $99 so I highly recommend it! Also, I believe that if you have an older Photoshop, like CS3 or older, you need to have the Extended version or layers in EXR is not supported. If you have CS5, it will work because I have tested it.

Also, I would highly recommend that if you use this method, to look into Linear Workflow for your ColorMapping. Using LWF along with 32 EXR is the most powerful way to post process in my opinion.

          Hi,

Are you able to render this scene in less resolution (800x600 for an example)?
You can always send us the scene file to: support@chaosgroup.com, so we can see if there is a V-Ray issue.

Does it render with the default visopt? (there's a button in the vray toolbar to load the defaults. There could be an issue with your vray settings if you are working from a visopt from an older version.

Did you try rendering without displacement? And is vray crashing the program completely, or is it just stopping with no response?

Wow, one thing I notice, your Irradiance Map, you have min and max are 0 and +2. For such a large output, I would suggest -5, and -3 for your min and max. I don't know if that would make a crash, but it will make for a very slow render. One other suggestion, perhaps try your output to exr with "no memory" option.

ok i have tested your recommendation, sketchup doesn't crashed with better resolution.but it hasn't created VFB channel.
What's difference between No memory/full memory and preview.

                        Thanks

                          Hi,

Using the option "No memory" in VFB mode (RAW image file), you can save a lot of memory especially when render very high resolution images, so V-Ray directly writes to disk the raw image data as it is being rendered.
The "Preview" option gives you the ability to see a small image of what is being actually rendered and stop the renderer if there is anything that looks wrong.

I'm not sure the render to raw exr works currently with multiple channels specified. I've successfully used vrimage and converted that to channels, but it's a bit complicated to use.

Use EXR and you must open in Photoshop CS5 or later and must have ProEXR installed you will not see the channels. Its $99 and well worth it if you want to take full advantage of this workflow.

I never use No Memory because you really have no idea of the progress of the render. Maybe when they bring the status bar back, you can use this feature but I do not currently.
