  • How do i make background invisible to camera?

    Hi

    VfSU2.0/SU2013/Win7

I want to have a plain white background, but still have skylight/background to affect surfaces.

I figured this was essentially making the enviroment/background 'invisible' to camera.

Is there an easy way to do this?

I could use photoshop and alpha, but i was hoping to use imagery straight from VRay/SketchUp

Any help would be great ☺

    Cheers

    Corey

Environment roll-out > Set "background" to white and put your sky map in the reflection slot instead.

If you save as a PNG, the file with have the background removed and transparent already, if you are looking to import a background image in Photoshop.

Hi Jackson - thanks for your tip...

I had a go, the background seems to be grey:

Hi Matthew - Cheers for your reply

I was hoping to not go through photoshop and use imagery straight out of VRay/SU.

          Thanks

What color do you want it to be, white?

You have to uncheck Affect Background in your color mapping.
