    Hello,

There is no solution for this yet, as we have not yet found a reliable way to produce erroneous animated .abc files.
Have you stumbled upon this problem regularly? If so, do you have a repeatable workflow when exporting alembics which fail to be converted / loaded in V-Ray?

    Kind regards,
    Peter

If I make an ocean or water I don't have any problem with importing it but if I make a tree as Shiyan lin shared in this thread it won't be rendered as a tree as I showed before. I also tried to make a fire but that doesn't seams to be supported by the ABC files as the file only becomes a few bytes and is just a circle after import to Sketchup.

Both V-Ray and our Ply2vrmesh tool have trouble with some specific .abc files. If you could provide a source file of one such erroneous file with step-by-step description of how you export it, we may be able to find out what is causing the failure.
Have you tried importing the same .abc files in any other software?
