    Hi,

Could you please try the following:
    1. Close SketchUp if it is running.
    2. Uninstall V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp
    3. Go to "C:/ProgramData/SketchUp/SketchUp 2018/SketchUp/Plugins/" and delete any files and folders containing "vfs" in their name.
    4. C:\ProgramData and delete ASGVIS folder if found there
    5. Make sure you have all the latest visual studio redistributable packages
    6. Right click on the V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp installation file and select the "Run as administrator" option then proceed with the installation.

Thanks. I followed all the steps and still have the same problem.
I forgot to mention that I`m using Windows 10.

If you are using any other 3rd party plug-ins, could you please disable them and then restart SketchUp?

Could you also installing V-Ray for SketchUp 2017 and advise if you get the same error?

Hi Georgi and thank you for your time.
I installed V-ray on a fresh install of Sketchup, so no previuos plugins.
I also installed Vray fost sketchup 2017 and it worked without any isuess.
Trying to solve the problem, I removed V-ray completly. I also deleted some instances of my license server from my.chaosgroup.com and now, when I start "Manage vray online license server" I get "NO LICENSES AVAILABLE". I`m in the midlle of a very important project and Support told me I will hear from them "in a couple of days". Please help!!

Does V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp 2018 still returns the same error (init.rb) or only a licensing error?

I solved the license problem, so it`s back to init.rb.

So V-Ray 3.6 for SU 2017 runs without any issues out of the box and the 'init.rb' issue occurs on V-Ray 3.6 for SU 2018 with all other plugins disabled?

Is it alright with you if we arrange a remote session so we can address the issue on the spot? Please contact us at support@chaosgroup.com to arrange the time and date convenient for you.

Sure, but at the end of the week if it`s ok with you. I`m in the middle of an important project and I cant take the risk now
In the mean time, can you advise on how to setup V-ray to have a faster real time rendering? With vray 3.4 was much much faster. I suspect the settings changed but i don`t know where to look. Thanks!
