  • Alert Popup window

    Hi,
Would it be possible to have an alert window when opening a Sketchup file in the following cases:
    - missing texture files
    - missing .vrmesh or .vrscene files

    Thank you.

    Hi DCHA34,

    - missing texture files
    - missing .vrmesh or .vrscene files
Both are more or less the same and we can certainly detect missing files and react to it.
    However I have some concerns:
    1. When a .skp is loaded, V-Ray is not automatically activated. We can only show an alert when you first interact with V-Ray...
    2. Some files are replaced by the SU bitmap buffers in case they are missing. Should we alert in this case?
    3. Checking file paths can be very slow if a network location is in play. This is not something we can optimize, it's on the OS (Windows / macOS) side. Are you willing to wait for the check to complete?
    4. A way for this behavior to be disabled should be implemented.
    Konstantin

Indeed, I think it would be great.
