I am wishing for a stand-alone vray engine. By doing this you dont have to rely on 32 bit SketchUp. Develop an exporter like Thea render.

careful what you wish for... I tried Thea, but the integration I found was a pain having to use a separate studio. They had to come up with a whole different GUI (which I couldn't stand, btw) and you had to constantly go back and forth with settings and such. That said, as long as all the editing can be directly in SU, it would be great to find a way to separate out the processing so that vray can use 64bit.
There is already a standalone for vray, and it works magically through Blender...

I'm assuming you're using a 64bit version of Blender, or that they are exporting a vrscene file that then is used by the stand alone in a separate process (by process, I'm talking about what you see in the task manager). We will be trying to address this issue, as well as a number of other performance and workflow issues in our next development cycle.Best regards,

Probably have a standalone render as optional, so that you can choose either to render inside SU which is the version as of now and then another button to "standalone render" which exports the skp into a file to be used by Standalone Vray.
That way if you have no problems rendering inside SU there you go but if it creates too much error (couldn't render at all) then by all means use the standalone version. Just my $0.02.Acer Predator G5910 FTW!

I think VfSU could have that "temporary" project until Google realized enough to further develop SU into a much more stable version as well as 64-bit support. SU's market is growing bigger by every moment and so is render market.Acer Predator G5910 FTW!
