  • Camera clip need Urgent or Matte material option

There is a lonely post on this Whishlist section asking about CAMERA CLIPPING feature for VfS.
    There was no replies...

Is there some trick to render bathroom placing camera behind the wall clipping this wall for camera (NOT FOR GI OR REFLECTION). Or.. maybe it could realized using some material of object options (like [V] Hide from Camera - Not for GI).
Just cutting this wall using Zorro2 plugin for example allowing sunlight pass though this hole in a wall and this wall disappear in a mirror (of course it is

Trying to get some results using Refraction Layer with IOR = 1 and Affect Shadows check box disabled. Works in case of Camera-GI, but not reflection... (

    +1 for Camera clipping

P.S. Maybe some of you, guys know some trick could perform my idea easy without tons of pors processing composition manipulations?

Did you try making the backside of the wall you are trying to look through a transparent material? (The side facing the camera)

hm.... will try carefully tomorrow but how to deal with some details on this wall placed inside the room? Like doors, paintings etc... Or ceiling lamp in case of ceiling matting?

Why would you want to do this? Why not just place the camera in the room with a very short focal length? Wide angle lens distortion can easily be fixed in post.

You could use Skp 2 side material. Place the desired wall material in the front and let the back material as none = transparency.
