  • VrayIES-Lights conversion with non-matching intensities (large differences in the render result)

VrayIES-Lights with a physical intensity are converted to Unreal, which is great. They appear as spotlights with the IES-profile and some converted units.
Unfortunately the intensity which is rendered in Unreal with the VrayPhysicalCamera doesn't match the one in Vray for 3DSMax. I have to increase the intensity in Unreal by a huge factor. Or am I missing something?

    Cheers

    Hi Robert

IES light are handled differently by Unreal and V-Ray. We tried to match the intensities as close as possible but it really depends on the .ies file itself. Could you please send us a sample scene with the mentioned ies files that give you that issue so we could test it?

    Best regards,
