  • Vray Environment Fog Density - GPU? I can't seem to affect it at all.

Can anyone help shed some light on why I I can't control fog thickness with Vray Env Fog in GPU?

    Nothing seems to be working.

What do you want to achieve? The overall thickness is controlled by the "fog distance" parameter. Custom mapped density is not supported in VRayEnvironmentFog in V-Ray GPU yet, but you can use VRayVolumeGrid with mapped opacity to achieve this effect.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

I just wanted to make the fog a little clumpy.

Is the vray volume grid faster or slower the environment fog? or is it essentially the same thing?

The optimizations from Update 1 are for the Environment Fog. The VRayVolumeGrid should be a little slower than the Fog.

Is fog density on gpu supported yet?
