  • GPU and textures

Extensively testing GPU version and kind of stuck here. I have buncj of tiled mipmapped .tx files. Feels like I don't have an option like in CPU version to:
    - use max texture lod
    - use tiled mipmapped textures, only force resize or on-demand (it takes ages to start and I don't feel it takes into account heavy DOF in scene, I know that sounds strange, but it would be great )

    Any ideas ?
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

What 3d platform are you using?
What is the exact version of V-Ray that you are using?
Could you share your scene as an example so we could take a look?

Setting the "Texture Mode" to "Full size textures" should load all your textures with their original size.

Scene - I think no. I was too specific and loooots of textures (I was converting from rs to vr and since rs is caching all its textures to own cache - rstexbin - they are always mipmapped). It was 3dsmax, vray next.

But, the q was - why there's no such options, and that't it. Maybe when it should arrive at gpu version.

Sorry, I am not sure which option that is missing for V-Ray Next GPU you are referring to.

Currently, you could determine the resolution and size of textures to optimize the memory usage by changing the Textures Mode(||Render Setup window|| > Performance tab > Textures rollout). For more information check the online documentation:
        https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...X/GPU+Textures

If you are referring to something else, please give us more details.
