It seems like this still hasn't been implemented on GPU yet, is there a workaround for this on GPU in Maya? I saw 'volume shader' mentioned in the Houdini forum

Hey GregCooper ,
The workaround with volume grid is not great honestly, very hard to control. I will ask my colleagues if there is a better workflow. On another note, we have this request on the GPU roadmap, although other things are higher priority like texture compression. I will talk to the developers about this today. If it is not a big task we can work on this sooner, I will let you know.
