    It seems like this still hasn't been implemented on GPU yet, is there a workaround for this on GPU in Maya? I saw 'volume shader' mentioned in the Houdini forum

    Hey GregCooper ,

    The workaround with volume grid is not great honestly, very hard to control. I will ask my colleagues if there is a better workflow. On another note, we have this request on the GPU roadmap, although other things are higher priority like texture compression. I will talk to the developers about this today. If it is not a big task we can work on this sooner, I will let you know.

      Hello again

      This requires deep changes and will take time, for now the volume grid workaround is the only way around this.
      This still has high priority on the roadmap and we will get to it eventually. I will update the thread when I have more news on the topic
