it is almost impossible to work without RT for me these days so i was wondering how to speed it up for previews when doing large scene both with gpu and cpu

what about cpu? for gpu i have no real luck there but honestly i just use rt for previews, setting lights and materials etcArchitectural and Product Visualization at MITVIZ

I was told to use RT in production mode. I tried it and it worked fine. It's not interactive which almost defeats the purpose, but it allows me to use my GPU.Bobby Parker

Ray Bundle Size, Rays Per Pixel, Trace Depth, GI Depth
You may also disable features like VRayProxys, Displacement, Motion Blur etc, those also will help to improve the performance.
Please note that some of the parameters like Trace and GI depth will affect the quality as well, others like Ray Bundle Size and Rays Per Pixels will increase the interactivity but the overall rendering will be slower.

This toggles mode by changing a few things, like the ones mentioned above.
It REQUIRES V-Ray RT as activeshade, or will error out.
Feel free to edit, but there is absolutely no support given.Lele
