  • Dark edge on geometry when using DOF

I was testing out the RTX GPU build on an animation. I found that when I enable DOF I get a dark edge on my geometry:

    DOF on/off comparison:

The scene is using a VRay Dome light with HDRI assigned to it FWIW.

Could you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look? Mention your V-Ray, host platform, GPU driver and OS versions and your GPU model in the e-mail along with a link to this thread.

Thanks for the provided files. It seems the issue is related to the render settings' depth of field (which affects Standard 3ds Max cameras and the perspective view) and V-Ray GPU. I've forwarded the information (Bug-tracker id: VGPU-4399) to our developers for investigation. As a workaround, use either a V-Ray camera or Max's physical camera.

Thanks for looking into it. I'll change the camera over to the V-Ray camera.
