  • V-Ray Next GPU and Standard Lights Blown Out

    Hi All,

We are developing an animation that started in Vray CPU and has been now moved to V-Ray GPU.
We didn't have problems between the two versions except for standard lights: spotlights and direct lights.

In V-Ray GPU these appears to be blown out while in CPU they are ok.

The values are extremely high as required in vray cpu, something like 10000 as intensity.
I understand that area light won't work but this is another kind of issue.

Is there a way to fix this or a conversion table that I can use?
So I know that what is set to 10000 has to reduced to 10?
What are the proportions if there are any?

    Regards,

    Giacomo.

From what I tested, I see no difference in the lights' intensity when comparing CPU and GPU. Which host platform are you using? Could you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look? Mention this thread in the e-mail along with your V-Ray and host platform versions.
