  • The 3ds Max OSL noise maps work as diffuse but not as bump?

    I'm not too familiar with Vray GPU's supported features so I was wondering whether 3ds max'es OSL Noise maps work as bump maps. I did a few tests and I can't get them to work. However, they work perfectly fine in the diffuse slot. Am I missing some steps or settings or are these OSL Noise maps really not working as bump with Vray GPU? The native old school 3ds max Noise map works fine, but it is very basic and I can't achieve the high quality results that I can achieve with the new OSL Noise maps.

    OSL maps are partially supported as stated on the documentation page here. An alternative would be to use the BerconNoise map or render the OSL texture itself to use as a bitmap.
